What is a class at Canvas and Cabernet like?

In a upbeat, social setting a studio artist will guide you through the night’s featured painting step by step. Literally helping you choose color combinations and brush sizes and giving detailed instructions allowing you to work your way through our specially designed paintings. Guests are encouraged to take chances and find a way to make it their own. By the end of the evening you will be amazed at the artwork you have created! Classes are about 3 hours long with frequent breaks.

Do you offer gift certificates?

Yes, we do! You can either pick one up in studio for any amount you’d like or you can choose from some preset options on our gift certificate page.
We offer $45 (one class fee) $55 (class and a glass of wine) $90 (two class fees) or $110 (two classes and two glasses).

Do I need to sign up in advance?

Because of limited seating, signing up in advance is the best way to assure you will have a seat when you arrive. If a class is sold out, please sign up for the Wait List. Due to last minute cancellations, we can almost always get you in.

What is the cost of a class at Canvas and Cabernet?

We basically have two prices for an experience at Canvas and Cabernet. Our typical class fee is $45 and includes all of your supplies plus three hours of instruction.
We also offer Open Studio time for $25 which includes all of your supplies, but no instruction will be given. Open Studio is available anytime that we are not already teaching a class. Its recommended that you call in advance to be sure that we are not already hosting a private event.

What is included in the price?

We include all of our supplies: easels, aprons, brushes, water cup, paper towels, paint and canvas, as well as our expert (and entertaining!) instruction. Beer and wine are sold separately.

Is wine included in the price?

No, not everyone drinks so we don’t include alcohol in the price of the class.

What should I wear?

We will provide aprons, but we recommend wearing something that you wouldn’t mind getting some paint on – just in case!
We are using acrylic paints which do not wash out of clothing so be sure to leave precious fabrics and lovely handbags at home. Canvas and Cabernet cannot be responsible for any paint damage.

What time should I arrive for class?

Evening classes start at 6:30pm so we recommend getting there a little early to find parking and get settled.

What is your cancellation policy?

We ask that you give us 72 hours notice if you need to cancel. Cancellations can be made online at info@canvascabernet.com or by calling us, if you happen to reach voice mail just leave us a message and we will take care of you when we are available. We will charge the full class fee if reservations have not been canceled in the appropriate time frame.

When does the new schedule come out?

We post the schedule about 6 weeks out. The best way to find out about our new schedule and all things exciting and new keep an eye on our Facebook page.

I missed a painting that I really want to paint, how often do you repeat paintings?

Please let us know info@canvascabernet.com We will keep this in mind when scheduling the next month’s paintings.

Do you provide alcohol?

We offer a variety of wines from all over the world which change seasonally. Prices vary starting at $8/glass. We also offer high quality, locally hand crafted beers priced at $4.50/bottle.

Am I welcomed to bring my own beverages?

If you’ve got a favorite wine that you’d like to bring by all means do. Corkage is $20/bottle. We don’t allow outside beverages with the exception of wine.

If I come with a friend or a group can we all sit together?

We always try to seat friends and parties together… just be sure to let us know when making your reservation and we’ll be sure to make the appropriate seating arrangements.

Are underaged painters welcome?

We consider C & C an adult playground.  Underaged painters are welcome ages 12-16 and are most comfortable Saturday or Sunday afternoons when it’s a more family friendly atmosphere, 16-20 year olds are welcome.  That said your underaged painters will not be seated in the area licensed for alcohol.  If you plan on being seated with your underaged painter plan to enjoy your adult beverage at the bar.  Keep your eye out for spring and summer break workshops geared towards kids.

Do you facilitate children birthday parties?

We consider C & C an adult playground. Underaged painters are welcome ages 12-16 are most comfortable Saturday or Sunday afternoons when it’s a more family friendly atmosphere.  Children younger then 12 often do not have the attention span for a 3 hour class.  We can host up to 6 children in our underage painting area.  Price is $45 per person.
